CDF Freedom Schools ...."encourage scholars to believe in their ability and responsibility to make a difference, we provide scholars with culturally relevant pedagogy and high-quality books to deepen their understanding of themselves and all they have in common with others in a multiracial, multicultural democratic society. The program helps foster scholars’ love for reading to avoid summer learning loss. "
The program will focus on literacy and zero learning loss. Through fun and engaging activities students will enjoy music production, agricultural stem, entrepreneurial development and creative writing all geared towards improving their reading and developing their self-expression.

- Rising scholars grades 6 - 10
- Daily attendance/punctuality drop off at Parkside (Staff will be at the entrance daily)
- Appropriate conduct and language
- Cooperation
- Participation in all activities

The Freedom School program is free for all eligible students. This includes, but is not limited to, meals throughout the day (including field trips), field trips, and transportation for these trips.
